Hyperlinks for Search Engine Optimization :

A Hyperlink is a web link from one part of a website to another.A hyperlink is a link to another part of a website.

For most search engines their main goal is to find pages that relate, as closely as possible, to the word or phrase its users are searching for.

When we link to something it’s typically because we want to share information with others online, which is the essence of the internet. So, when you link to a page the search engines pay special attention to the words used inside that link to help return search results that are more applicable and, hopefully, will help them find the information they’re looking for. Hyperlinks can be a wonderful bridge between search engines and pages.

Most search engines actually look for keywords in the hyperlinks and any text immediately surrounding the hyperlinks. What this means to you is that you should include your most important keyword phrases in the link itself and possibly the surrounding text.

Hyperlink Optimization means adding a link to the main keywords in your text. This is a part of SEO Process which helps improve your listing in the search engines

Some important tips on hyperlink optimization:

Try to include your most important keyword phrases within the hyperlink itself.

Try to include your most important keyword phrases in the text that immediately preceeds, or follows the the hyperlink.

Be careful not to keyword stuff! Make sure your links and surrounding text are still readable and make sense after you include a keyword phrase or two.

Remember that the focus should always be on providing visitors with the information they’re looking for. You’re not helping anyone if you have the #1 spot on Google and your content isn’t useful or pertinent.

The keywords included within a hyperlink are weighed more heavily than the same keyword hanging out in your copy text.

What is the goal of Hyperlinks :

The goal of hyperlinks is to gain relevance on the words and to help push your users to alternate pages. Hyperlinks should encourage further surfing from your users. Take advantage of the benefits of internal linking on your site.

Putting keyword oriented phrases in hyperlink is always helpful bringing in the traffic.

In addition, use a hyperlink in the entire text of copy once or twice only. If every part of your copy stands out from hyperlinks, how will the user know what’s most important?

The use of hyperlinks in your copy is a great optimization technique, but don’t spam or stuff hyperlinks into your text in a hope to “help” your users.
